GROWS provides a platform for networking, education, advocacy, and public awareness for senior service professionals in Montgomery County.

Testimonial

Joining GROWS was one of the smartest things I did as a Marketing Director. The relationships I’ve built have directly affected my bottom line. The more I get to know GROWS members, the more qualified referrals come my way -- and the more I can send to my colleagues as well."

Get Involved!

One of the best ways to increase your networking capacity is to join a GROWS committee. Volunteers are the heart of GROWS and the following committees do the work of keeping GROWS a vital and active organization. There are five committees to choose from, and each meet for one meeting a month.

Public Concerns Committee
Working closely with the Board of Directors this committee develops GROWS public advocacy positions and objectives. Committee members advocate directly to government agencies and elected officials regarding senior issues.

Communications Committee
Promotes and publicizes GROWS to the public and the media. Assists with writing the online newsletter, the Grapevine. Assists all committees with the writing of needed brochures, flyers and invitations.

Development Committee
This committee assumes responsibility for implementing fundraising events to fund GROWS programs and initiatives. Annual events include the Networking Extravaganzas, the Holiday Breakfast and the Silent Auction.

Membership Committee
Develops and implements strategies for recruitment and retention of GROWS members and provides ambassadors at the monthly GROWS meetings to reach out to newcomers.

Program Committee
Plans, organizes and facilitates the monthly GROWS meetings. This committee also identifies and secures the monthly speakers.
